Bryce 2 Years 10 Months
I can't believe Bryce is so close to being 3. He is getting to be such a big boy.
For the past couple of weeks he has been on a nap strike again. He'll go to his room for nap or quiet time and just lay there or play quietly for a couple of hours. He then sometimes falls asleep after having a long quiet time, which throws off the schedule for the rest of the day. When he ends up taking late naps it means he doesn't fall asleep at night until 8:30 or 9, which throws the next day off schedule.
He is still adding "n" before "ing" word, like "doning" or "goning". I think this is so cute and I'll be sad when he learns to say it the correct way.
It is amazing what he picks up on when you think he isn't listening or paying attention. The other day we were listening to K-LOVE, and Bryce asked if the song was about God and his sister. I said, "no honey, it is just about God." A minute later he asked me the same question. I then started listening to the words and realized the song was talking about having faith. Explaining that some words have more than one meaning to a two and a half year old is difficult. I did my best, but I'm not sure he really grasped it.
For the past several months Bryce has been telling us that when he grows up he wants to be a Sheppard. Not a Sheppard of sheep, but of people like Pastor Durham. No one ever put this thought in his head. He came up with this all on his own. I realize he will probably change his mind about what he wants to be a hundred times, but I thought this was really cute. He does seem to have a really strong hold on the lessons he learns in Sunday School.
