Swim Lessons
Faith and Bryce started swim lessons on April 4th. Faith and I are doing the parent/tot lessons and Bryce is taking "big boy" swim lessons without a parent in the pool. They are both slightly young for the classes, but I wanted to get them started before the warm weather hits. For the parent/tot class babies are supposed to be 6 months. For Bryce's class kids are supposed to be 3.
Faith loved the water. She smiled and kicked throughout the lesson. She also had no problem when the teacher put her under the water to swim to me.
Bryce only made it through 15 minutes of the 30 minute lesson. There were 4 kids in his class. Each child took turns doing the various exercises. When it was Bryce's turn to do a back-float he didn't look very comfortable. After doing the back-float he yelled, "Mommy, I'm done". I couldn't convince him to stay and I didn't want to force him and have him end up not liking swim lessons.
Faith was a tired baby and fell asleep while Bryce had his lesson.
